The route
How we get you from Colchester to London City.
- Colchester
- A12
- Brentwood
- Stratford
- Royal Docks
We follow the A12 all the way into east London, then cut through towards the Royal Docks and the airport — roughly 60 miles. Allow around 2 hours, especially at peak times. Inbound rush hour on the A12 can add significant time, so for weekday morning flights we'll recommend an earlier pickup.
At the airport
Small airport, short distances
London City has a single, compact terminal with a drop-off area right outside the entrance. It's one of the quickest airports in the country to move through, which is why it's so popular for day trips to Europe.
Departures drop-off
The drop-off area is directly outside the terminal. London's emission and road-user rules are our responsibility, not yours.
Arrivals pickup
We can collect you in the evening after a day of meetings — we track your return flight and are ready when you land.
